WORTH SEEING:
Białystok:
- The Branicki Palace Complex - one of the best-preserved magnate residences of the Saxon era in the lands of the former Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, often called the "Versailles of the North"
- The Branicki Gardens - surrounding the palace, the best-preserved baroque gardens in Poland
- The Church of Christ the King and Saint Roch - one of the first modernist churches in Europe
- The Church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker, built in 1843-1846, a temple in classical style
- The Cathedral Complex of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary - a neo-Gothic cathedral, with the Old Parish Church serving as the family mausoleum of the Gryfit and Branicki families
- Planty Park - created at the end of the 19th century with a modernist composition, characterized by an interesting
layout of boulevards and alleys.
Supraśl:
A picturesque town located in the heart of the Knyszyn Forest with nearly 500 years of tradition, due to
its health and therapeutic qualities, holding spa status.
Places worth visiting include:
- The unique nationwide Icon Museum
- The buildings of the Orthodox Male Monastery of the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary
- The Evangelical Augsburg Church from 1885,
- The Buchholz Palace built between 1892-1903
- The Evangelical Cemetery
Białowieża:
- The Nature and Forest Museum and observation tower, one of the most modern in the country
- The Palace Park - established at the end of the 19th century around the now non-existent tsar's palace, a 50-hectare park distinguished by over 90 species of trees and shrubs
- The Church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker from 1895 with a ceramic iconostasis and altars decorated with oriental majolica
- The Bison Show Reserve - where you can see bison, żubrons, tarpans, deer, roe deer, wild boars, moose, and wolves
- The Power Place - a sacred site in the central part of the Białowieża Forest. An Old Slavic place of worship - a stone circle around which dowsers detected positive radiation.
Biebrza National Park:
The park occupies one of the largest wetland areas in Central Europe and is also the largest and longest national park in Poland. Nearly 270 bird species and 48 mammal species live here, with the largest being the moose.
The biggest attraction near the park is the Osowiec Fortress built by Tsar Alexander III.
Narew National Park:
The park includes the marshy valley of the Narew River - almost 90% of its area is covered by marshes, wetlands, and water. Nearly 180 bird species and 40 mammal species inhabit the park. The Narew valley is a natural curiosity in this part of Europe and is often called the "Polish Amazon".
Podlasie Tatar Route:
The route leads through lands inhabited by Polish Tatars. Along the way, you can visit the mosque and cemetery (mizar) in Kruszyniany, the mosque in Bohoniki, and the Sokółka Land Museum in Sokółka. In Bohoniki and Kruszyniany, it is possible to taste Tatar dishes.
